Through our wide network of committed mentors, we guide and nurture young people across Africa to attain academic and career excellence. The major objective of the programme is to connect aspiring young people with successful individuals who are experienced, knowledgeable, passionate and possess the charisma needed to inspire excellence.
Mentors are selected after a rigorous screening and evaluation process. A typical IAF mentor has a minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant field, is at least 18 years old, is willing to commit at least 2 hours monthly per protégé, and possesses a high level of discipline.

Surpass My Lead
At IAF we love to invest in our friends, the students, across secondary schools in Africa. We want to inspire and interact with them, expose them to career realities, and instil success virtues in them right from secondary school.
The Surpass My Lead initiative creates a mentoring platform through talk forums, connecting African youth with successful, established professionals who share their success stories and guide young people on how to achieve their dreams.
We visit several secondary schools alongside accomplished individuals who share how they rose through the ranks, inspiring students to do far better than they have done. With this project, we are confident that a powerful wave of excellence, hard work and discipline will move through schools across Africa.
Mind Seed Implantation Project
MSIP is our way of involving students of African tertiary institutions in policy discussions and research through oratory contests. This annual event requires students from different institutions to research specific continental issues and present them, with the goal of winning the MSIP Annual Debates.
Beyond sharpening oratory skills, the project deepens knowledge about the continent, improves research and analytical ability, and showcases Africa as a truly talented and endowed continent to the world.
The project is open to students enrolled at African universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.

Equip a School Project
This project ensures that public schools in Africa are well equipped and properly positioned to deliver quality education for students.
We identify the specific needs of public schools, whether a library, learning furniture, a better building or a computer lab, mobilise the human and material resources required, and equip selected schools with the infrastructure that makes learning easier and more enjoyable.
The objective is simple: to ensure that schools in Africa are well equipped to deliver quality education to their students.
